Many Congratulations Bhumika

Many Congratulations Bhumika The US Embassy in Nepal has announced that transgender rights activist Bhumika Shrestha will be awarded the US Department of States' prestigious International Women of Courage Award, 2022 for her dedication to improving the lives of the LGBTQI+ community. Transgender activist Bhumika Shrestha has advocated gender minority rights and social justice. Despite stigma and biases against transgender people, Shrestha helped lead the movement for gender minority recognition. Nepal's Supreme Court ruled that individuals could be identified as a 'third/other gender' on citizenship documents, thanks in large part to her activism in 2007. Later in the spring of 2021, she successfully advocated to change her citizenship document from 'other' to 'female'. YouTube Source:

HAPPY MAHASHIVARATRI The festival marks the end of winter and the arrival of summer and is a major observation in Hinduism. It is very significant to the Shaivism tradition of Hinduism, which worships Shiva as its primary deity. The MahaShivaratri is mentioned in several Puranas (Hindu Literature) and presents different versions of this festival and referencing the icons of Shiva.  MahaShivaratri is the night when Shiva is said to have performed the Tandava Nritya, or the dance of primordial creation, preservation and destruction. According to believers, this saved the world from destruction. Hindu scholars say Maha Shivaratri was the day when Shiva drank poisonous negativity to protect the world. MahaShivaratri is also considered the auspicious night when Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva married again.    OM NAMAH SHIVAYE     Source
