After
Suhang Nembang became a Member of the House of Representatives (HoR), he seems
to be taking notes of bad practices in the parliament which are hampering the parliamentary
practices and law-making processes.
He
opines that parliament is a clean place, temple of good governance. People’s
representatives should continuously raise public concern and voices in the
house session rather than engaging in non-productive issues.
The
federal parliament is supposed to be working for law-making and addressing the burning
issues and concerns of the nation and people. The law-making process is
rigorous with several rounds of discussion at the parliament committee
meetings. If all the lawmakers actively and sincerely engage in addressing the
pressing issues, making necessary and appropriate laws are possible.
He
has been raising issues and concerns related to the common people boldly in the
parliament not really in line with his party but as a real representative of
the people.
