Gold affluent Cabinet

Prime Minister Balen Shah led government declares the property details of its ministers interestingly showing 787 tola of gold in total among other fixed assists. Most ministers link their holdings to ancestral property, salaries, business profits, or family savings.

Leading the list, PM Balen Shah has shown around 190 tola of gold (mostly in his wife’s name as ancestral property). Close behind, Industry Minister Gauri Kumari holds 180 tola, reportedly earned through business abroad.

Other ministers also hold significant amounts — Home Minister Sudhan Gurung with 89 tola, Labour Minister Ramji Yadav with 80 tola, and Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle with 45 tola.

Several ministers fall in the mid-range, including 30 tola holders like Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal and Health Minister Nisha Meheta, while others like Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel and Federal Affairs Minister Pratibha Rawal have around 25 tola each.

Ministers with smaller holdings have still reported gold ownership, with figures ranging from 5 to 22 tola across the cabinet.
